Facial Trauma Retreat Coming Soon
Meet your hosts:
Jordan:
in April of 2022, I was attacked by a dog and lost my entire nose. The day I suffered my facial trauma, I knew I wanted to use this experience to help others in some way. It was actually one of the first things I said to my partner John as we were in the ER. I have teamed up with Nicole, a friend of mine I have met along this journey, and we have decided to host a weekend retreat in 2023 for those who have suffered facial trauma. I am so excited to connect with you all!
Nicole:
On July 25, 2021 Nicole was attacked in the face by a German Shepherd. She lost 60% of her cheek, along with 3 facial muscles. While in the hospital one of the nurses said to her “there is a blessing in all of this for you.” Her blessing has been connecting with incredible women, like her beautiful friend Jordan, who are survivors of dog attacks and facial trauma. We are finding purpose thru our pain and want to help others going thru this journey by holding this retreat. Nicole lives in Greenville, SC with her two cats, Big and Hampton. She loves traveling, photography, cooking/baking and gardening. She works remotely for a law firm in their IT department, hence her profile name @NicktheITChick.
What the retreat will look like:
We are still at the beginning stages of our planning.
So far we know we will be hosting the retreat in Sedona, AZ. Sedona is am absolutely beautiful, magical, healing place. Nicole spent some time exploring Sedona recently and made some connections with other survivors of facial trauma. We knew this location was meant to be.
